THAT TIME I WAS IN A MUSIC VIDEO (SORTA) WITH THE KICKASS PLANET SWAN!

The most exciting thing I got to be a part of was an art collaboration with Planet Swan. Plant Swan, daughter of her musician father, Billy Swan, is an independent musical artist and we crossed paths on Instagram. I enjoyed her wit and we shared the love of the greatest musician of all time, Prince. During the early part of our pandemic and we were all locked down, there was a longing for something positive. I am a strong believer in if I feel a little “less than”, I look outward to give or help. I had made a drawing for my husband of Prince when he had passed and I made a couple prints of the drawing to friends to give out. I had an extra and I reached out to Planet. She enthusiastically accepted my gift. I did not realize the musical talent she had, I followed her on Instagram without really knowing who she was but her stories were funny and I found myself laughing out loud daily during the pandemic. I did not know her father was Billy Swan. I did not know she had a sister who was very talented musically, as well, Sierra Swan. I did what many people do when you explore Instagram, I just followed a bunch of people and later deleted those that didn’t quite click with me for one reason or another. Instagram brought me a new friend of sorts. Instagram exposed me to an amazing family that I would likely never would have met in real life.

Many months later, the gifted Prince print, I gave her was included in her new video, November 2021. I am honored and am humbled in being in this project. The closest thing I will likely every be a rock star in a video! :)
